Bowling a no-ball or a wide is not new in international cricket. However, some great players have been very disciplined while bowling, rarely used to bowl any extra delivery. Many bowlers haven’t bowled a single no-ball throughout their career which is enough to tell about their skill and focus in their bowling. Players with ZERO No Balls in international cricket
Lance Gibbs
Lance Gibbs was among the greatest bowlers in the West Indies in the decade of 1960s. He is the only spinner in the list who hasn’t bowled a single no-ball throughout his international career. Gibbs has taken 309 wickets from 79 Tests and two wickets from three ODIs in his international cricket career.
Ian Botham
The former English cricketer had been one of the best all-rounders in the 1980s. Despite playing more than 100 matches each in Test and ODI formats, Botham hasn’t bowled a single no-ball in his 16-year international cricket career. The right-arm fast bowler took 383 wickets from 102 Tests and 145 wickets from 116 ODI matches in his career.
Imran Khan
One of the best all-rounders from Pakistan also turned out to be a great leader when he led the Men in Green to their first-ever Cricket World Cup title in 1992. With 362 wickets from 88 Test matches and 182 wickets from 175 ODIs, Imran was disciplined with his action and didn’t bowl a single no-ball in his 21-year-long international career.
Dennis Lillee
Former Australian cricketer Dennis Lillee is regarded as one of the greatest bowlers of all time. The fast bowler has played 70 Tests and 63 ODI matches for the Aussies taking 355 and 103 wickets respectively in his 13-year-long career and hasn’t bowled a single no-ball.
Kapil Dev
One of the best fast-bowling all-rounders in India and a great leader who led India to their maiden Cricket World Cup title in 1983. Kapil Dev excelled with both bat and ball with over 9000 runs across formats and 650+ wickets in his international cricketing. Apart from this, Kapil was among the most disciplined bowlers who haven’t bowled a single no ball in 131 Test and 225 ODI matches of his international career.
