The Summer Games return after 2021, which saw postponement due to the COVID-19 outbreak. After successful Tokyo Olympics in 2021, the 2024 edition of the Olympics will be held in the French capital, Paris from July 26 till August 11.
While the Games will begin with an extravagant opening ceremony in Paris on July 26, the baton will pass on to the next hosting nation, Los Angeles, USA in a full-lit closing ceremony on August 11.
Speaking of the previous edition, United States of America (USA) finished at the top of the table with 113 medals, which included 39 gold, 41 silver and 33 bronze medals. They were followed by China, (88 medals), Russian Olympic Committee (71 medals), Great Britain (65 medals) and Japan (58 medals) to complete the top five. Moreover, India finished at 37th place, their best ever finishes at the Summer Games with seven medals including a gold for Neeraj Chopra.
