Indian batting great Virat Kohli responded to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s tribute to him after the Men in Blue won the T20 World Cup 2024. Team India defeated South Africa in a thrilling final in Bridgetown, Barbados with a seven-run margin to end their 13-year World Cup drought.
Kohli was brilliant in the final and was named the Player of the Match for a vital 76 when he announced his T20I retirement. PM Modi took to his social media to congratulate Kohli for the World Cup victory and an illustrious career in the shortest format.

Coming back to Modi, The Indian Prime Minister shared how the T20 cricket will miss Kohli in his tribute to the 35-year-old. He posted, “Glad to have spoken to you. T20 Cricket will miss you but I am confident you’ll continue to motivate the new generation of players.”
