BGIS 2024 finale Day 1: IQOO SOUL clinch top spot over GLOBAL ESPORTS and TEAMXSPARK

Hyderabad, June 28th, 2024: Today marked the thrilling commencement of the much-awaited BATTLEGROUNDS MOBILE INDIA SERIES 2024 (BGIS) finale at the HITEX Exhibition Centre in Hyderabad. India’s largest battle royale Esports event hosted by KRAFTON India kicked off with a spectacular exhibition of gaming skill and talent from India’s finest Esports teams on Day 1. 

The day began with 16 formidable teams entering the battleground amid fanfare and thunderous applause, the coveted trophy was revealed. This electrifying face-off featured  experienced veterans, and eager debutants—all vying for the grand prize in the most spectacular finale to date. The excitement of the crowd soared as fan-favorite commentators Spero, Anki, Mazy, Jonny, and others delivered thrilling live commentary.

Fans and gaming enthusiasts from every corner of the country could also catch all the action live on KRAFTON India Esports YouTube channel. All the matches are being live streamed in 10 languages including English, Hindi, Telugu, Kannada, Bengali, Gujarati, Marathi, Tamil, Mizo and Malayalam.

On the first day, an audience of more than 2500 spectators attended the event. Priced at ₹5,000 per day, all revenues generated from the sale of elite passes will be contributed to the Abhinav Bindra Foundation, supporting traditional sports. 

Team IQOO SOUL took the lead, impressively accumulating 58 points. Thrilling performances were also displayed by GLOBAL ESPORTS and TEAMXSPARK, carving out their path to the ultimate championship trophy. Strong comeback showcase team 8BIT and steady performances from FS ESPORTS also added to the Day 1’s electrifying atmosphere.
