Rohit Sharma in revenge mode: Memes galore as Team India skipper smashes Australia bowlers in T20WC’24

The Rohit Sharma-led Team India are taking on Australia in their final Super 8 stage of the T20 World Cup 2024 at the Daren Sammy National Cricket Stadium in Gros Islet, St Lucia. After being invited to bat first, captain Rohit Sharma played a crucial knock to help put a 100-plus score inside 10 overs.

The 36-year-old recorded his highest score of the T20 World Cup 2024, along with hitting pacer spearhead, Mitchell Starc for four maximums in an over. He continued his form as he scored 92 runs off 41 deliveries before falling off Mitchell Starc’s delivery.

Seeing the captain stand up to the occasion and play an all-important knock, fans flooded X (formerly Twitter) to heap praise on the star batter.

Check out how fans reacted to Rohit Sharma’s prowess vs Australia:

It is to be noted that Rohit Sharma’s 92-run knock against Australia is the second highest score for Indian cricketer in T20 World Cups, only after Suresh Raina’s 101 which came against South Africa at the same venue. Rohit’s 92-run knock is also the second highest individual score by captain in T20 World Cups after Chris Gayle (98 vs India in Bridgetown, 2010).
